Innovative Financing for Energy Communities Webinar

Next Tuesday May 21st at 12h Piet Holtrop will participate in a Webinar on Innovative Financing for Energy Communities.

This webinar is part of the ePLANET project, funded by the European Commission, and has the support of some of its partners, in particular the Diputació de Girona, the Catalan Energy Institute, as well as the LIMA Association, the research center CIMNE, the consultancy ThreeO’Clock (France) and the European Federation of Energy Agencies (Belgium).

Energy communities are a key tool for decentralizing and democratizing the energy sector. The key steps for the definition and their implementation in our territory are clear and well known, but access to appropriate financing mechanisms is often one of the main stumbling blocks to overcome for energy communities. During this webinar, we will explore what alternatives to traditional financing exist in our territory, and we will give visibility to possible financing strategies that can facilitate the early stages of implementation of an energy community.
