Maluenda Signs Contracts with CERCA Energía

A significant moment took place in Maluenda with the signing of self-consumption and supply contracts between the participants of the Maluenda project and CERCA Energía, preceding the activation and final legalization of the collective self-consumption photovoltaic installation set up on the roof of Bodegas Raíces Ibéricas. The event was attended by the mayor, María Carmen Herrero Abián, who personally supported the initiative at an individual level.

The municipality is also playing a key role by facilitating the connection with the Raíces Ibéricas company, which agreed not only to participate in the installation for its own self-consumption but also to encourage the participation of local residents by allowing part of its roof to be used for the collective installation promoted by CERCA Energía. Furthermore, the municipal council has made its facilities available for meetings and gatherings, reinforcing its commitment to the project.

With the participation of 24 individuals and companies, this has been the largest group involved in such initiatives so far. Another milestone was the use of electronic tablets for the in-person signing of contracts, a first-time event symbolizing the technological and sustainable progress of this collaboration.

The project reflects Maluenda’s commitment to innovative and collaborative energy solutions, serving as an example for other communities to follow.
