JALON activates five collective photovoltaic plants
JALON has successfully implemented collective self-consumption under the simplified surplus compensation model for five photovoltaic projects: 69.9 kWp in the Mediavega industrial estate in Calatayud; 22.2 kWp in Miedes de Aragón; 10.5 kWp in Cervera de la Cañada; 30 kWp in Ruesca; and 16.5 kWp in Munébrega.
These plants have a combined photovoltaic capacity of almost 150 kWp. These projects will enable 53 households to start saving on their electricity bills, with an average annual saving of 2 MWh per household. These activations come one year after the installations were completed. The lengthy activation period is due to the complicated administrative process that renewable energy communities must carry out with the regional administration, and particularly with the electricity distribution company. JALON is working on publishing regulatory recommendations aimed at public administrations at regional, national and European levels.
These recommendations focus on avoiding long delays in implementing energy production systems, ensuring that promoters of these projects do not have to wait too long to reap the rewards of their investments.
