CERCA Energía joins Calatayud Empresa to promote rural development and combat depopulation in the Calatayud Region
The Renewable Energy Community of the Calatayud Region (CERCA Energía) is pleased to announce its incorporation as a member of Calatayud Empresa, the region’s leading business association.
Both entities share the same core values: a commitment to the local productive network, collaborative work, and the creation of opportunities that help settle population and generate wealth in rural areas. This partnership strengthens the collaboration between two organizations that, from complementary fields—energy transition and business development—pursue a common objective: to make the Calatayud Region a more sustainable, competitive, and livable territory.
With this membership, CERCA Energía brings its experience in community renewable energy projects and its model of citizen participation to the Calatayud Empresa ecosystem, which brings together more than one hundred companies and self-employed professionals in the region. Together, we will work to:
• Promote initiatives that combine energy sustainability with local job creation.
• Facilitate access for associated companies and municipalities to more affordable and environmentally friendly energy solutions.
• Generate new economic opportunities that help curb depopulation and improve the quality of life in our towns.
